The GLBT and Allied Medical Student Association (GLBTAMSA) is an active student organization at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, with strong support from both our administration and peers of all identities. We strive to foster a safe and supportive environment for GLBTQQA (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Allied) physicians and physicians-in-training. The organization is dedicated to promoting equal political and social rights for GLBT people, breaking down prejudices concerning GLBT people that undermine patient care, and advocating for expanded inclusion of GLBT health issues in the curriculum.
